Why I Started Hesson Loans

Before I was a mortgage broker, I spent my career in data and technology. I was a leader in business intelligence and analytics at Caesars Entertainment, and I served as Chief Information Officer at Acadia Healthcare. I also co-founded Ten Oaks Real Estate and helped grow it to 330 agents before we sold it to a national firm.

In my real estate career, I’ve watched buyers pick a lender on one number, with no one looking at the whole picture.

A mortgage isn’t just a transaction. It’s a financial tool, and the right one depends on your income, your plans and how long you’ll keep the home. So in 2018, I started Hesson Loans as an independent broker. I’m not tied to one bank, and you deal with me from your first call to closing. No call centers. No handoffs.

I’m from Franklin, and I have degrees in Management Information Systems, Business Finance, and Accounting from Ole Miss. My wife, Anna Lauren, and I have been married for more than 20 years, and we have two boys.
